Join Us at an Event

Whether you're looking for meaningful conversation, community, or simply a reason to get out of the house, there’s something happening throughout the year.

Most of our events are open to everyone—whether it’s your first time or your fiftieth. We host everything from casual coffee meetups and educational programs to volunteer opportunities and annual celebrations.

Meetup

WEEKLY

A few times a week we host Freethought Cafe or Pub Night events around Central Florida. A few of those are trivia events, but not everyone at the table plays along, so come join us!

EVERY 2 WEEKS

Approximately every two weeks there is an event with the Secular Women of the CFFC. Secular Women events are announced only on Meetup.

MONTHLY

Every month (with very few exceptions) we host an educational event and one ore more volunteer events. Plus, we have outdoor activities twice a month!

ANNUALLY

Every year we march in the Orlando Pride Parade and the Orlando Veterans’ Day Parade. The CFFC offers invocations at least once a year each for more than 10 city and county meetings. We table annually at Orlando Earth Day and Central Florida Veg Fest. There are annual parties such as the Solstice Party in December and Friendsgiving!

BIENNIALLY

We have two amazing events that happen in alternating years.

What kinds of events do we host?

  • Attending your first event? You’re not alone—many people join us for the first time without knowing anyone.

    Most events are casual, welcoming, and open to anyone interested in community, conversation, and connection. Feel free to come on your own or bring a friend. You’re welcome to participate as much or as little as feels comfortable.

    During months with a fifth Sunday, we host a First Timers Café—a casual meetup designed specifically for new attendees to ask questions, meet others, and get to know the community in a relaxed setting.

    Still unsure where to start? A Café or Pub Night is often a great first event.

  • WEEKLY
    Join us for Freethought Café meetups and Pub Nights across Central Florida. Some include trivia, while others are simply a chance to connect and enjoy good conversation.

    EVERY 2 WEEKS
    Every other week, we host community gatherings—including events with the Secular Women of the CFFC—focused on connection, conversation, and community. Some events are shared exclusively through Meetup.

    MONTHLY
    Each month, we host educational events, volunteer opportunities, and outdoor activities throughout Central Florida.

    ANNUALLY
    We gather each year for traditions like Orlando Pride, Veterans’ Day Parade, Orlando Earth Day, Veg Fest, Friendsgiving, and our December Solstice Party.

    SIGNATURE EVENTS
    Every other year, we host larger signature events, including the Freethought Cruise (even years) and FREEFLO Conference (odd years).
