The Human Thread: Building Connection and Belonging with Dr. Kathy Rovito

This month we featured Dr. Kathy Rovito, Faculty Director of the Community Health program at Rollins College in Winter Park. In this presentation, Dr. Rovito explores insights from the U.S. Surgeon General’s Advisory on the Healing Effects of Social Connection, alongside emerging strategies to build stronger, more resilient communities. We examined the science behind connection, reflect on what makes communities thrive, and explore practical ways to strengthen the social fabric—starting right where we are. A very timely topic and one closely related to the purpose the CFFC serves in the local community.
