Community Engagement & Operations Coordinator
The Central Florida Freethought Community (CFFC) is hiring a dedicated, enthusiastic individual to join our team. If you're passionate about fostering humanist values, community-building, and advocating for the separation of religion and government, we’d love to connect with you.
Position Overview
Job Title: Community Engagement & Operations Coordinator
Employment Type: Part-time (20 hours per week, flexible scheduling)
Location: Remote (candidates must reside within 20 miles of Orlando, FL)
Compensation: $20/hour
Responsibilities
Manage CFFC’s social media presence (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Meetup, and more soon) including creating and posting content, moderating comments, and engaging followers
Draft email campaigns and donor communications (via platforms like Constant Contact)
Regularly update website content (Squarespace or similar)
Maintain and organize digital files, contact lists, volunteer data, and other organizational documents
Provide general administrative support, including scheduling and written and verbal communications with group members, volunteers, board members, and the public
Occasional local travel to support CFFC activities, meetings, and errands
Monitor and track state/church separation violations
Assist in volunteer support, including training, participation tracking, and regular communications
Support the Board of Directors with ongoing projects and initiatives
Qualifications
1+ years experience in communications, non-profit administration, event support, or community organizing
Demonstrated ability to manage and moderate social media accounts
Familiarity with Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.)
Willingness to learn new tools such as Squarespace, CRMs, Constant Contact, Adobe Creative Suite, and others
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Organized, reliable, and able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks independently
Positive attitude and commitment to mission-driven work
Nice to Have
Experience with email marketing or donor communications
Prior involvement in a secular, civil rights, or community-focused organization
Strong time management and project coordination skills
Experience with implementing or using CRM software
